Transplanted Bostonian that still follows the Red Sox and craves a good New England Clam Chowder every now and again. I've been a few places, lived in quite a few spots, but really enjoy the PNW and its greenery. Rain is Sexy, you know.
I'm from England & I've been to France, Italy, Holland & Spain. I'd go back to all of them but there really is something special about Italy. (Naples is a bit full-on though!!)
I’m from England and have been to the Netherlands and Germany – the former only because it’s on the way to the latter, which is where my mother’s side of the family lives, and with whom I stayed several times when I was younger. Otherwise I doubt if I would ever have been abroad; I’m not one who enjoys travelling.
Been all around the US and was in Scotland when I was little. I want to go back to Scotland and also visit England and Ireland. Hungary is on my someday list too.
I was surprised to find myself in Hungary. Best food of the whole trip. I would put it back on my list just for the food. I want to put Czech Republic back on my list too but to find the village G'pa came from. I've been to Germany (East & West when there was one),CZ,Hungary, Austria, Mexico, Mostly, I have too many places I've never been that I want to go, I won't have time to revisit (if I'm lucky).
I have visited England, France, Scotland, Mexico, and well, for the Caribbean - St, Croix and Grand Cayman. Can't go wrong with the Caribbean. As for Europe- I absolutely adore England and France- they are both so different and need to be experienced ( especially French food and cafe lifestyle!!!) But both have such interesting history to explore and learn.... and architecture that is fantastic. Scotland, I visited when I was young and I only discovered Edinburgh so I would like to go back to explore more- I did love what limited amount I saw though. Mexico- I have only been to TJ and would be quite content if I never go back.... however, I know Mexico has some beautiful spots... so it would be fun to check it out again. So, all in all I would love to travel all the places I have visited already and discover new countries like Germany, Switzerland, Italy, India, and New Zealand!!!!
I definitely need to go back to Ireland - it would be my third time and hopefully for something semi-permanent. Czech Republic, (Prague and Brno), England (mostly just London, which next time I go I would like to stay for only two days and then get into the countryside)! Montreal was nice but I'd like to see Vancouver - and Scotland was ok but Id rather have gone to Edinburgh than Glasgow - still, loved the architecture and people.
What a cool question! I've only been to Canada and America. That's it. I WANT to travel. I've always just managed to get myself tied down with farm animals and children. LOL.
Doug (my husband) and I definitely want to START traveling more -- now that our children are grown. Maybe you can post tips for traveling on a reasonable budget? Ever do that abroad -- know behind the scenes secrets to having the experience without having to refinance the home???

I haven't been too many places other than the beach destinations we seem to always follow.
ReplyDeleteLove St. John USVI
You can keep Cancun and the Bahamas.

I wish Urban Cynic would explain what she meant by Naples being "full on" (I'd love to learn more).
ReplyDeleteI relate to LubeFaerie (have been all around the U.S. -- Alaska, Hawaii, Georgia, North Carolina Michigan, Nevada, California on and on).
Rowan's travels are interesting but what I heard about Mexico was how dirty it was and how sad was all the little children begging there???
LeftCoastLobstah ~ I hope you blog more about Ireland. (Sounds incredible.)
